Manicures by Matt

Prissy decided she wanted to have her fingers and toes painted. She talked about it all day. So, last night Matt was more than happy to help me out and honor her request!
Yes, that is a REAL paint brush. The nail brush was simply too big for her teeny nail beds and the artist in him needed the correct utensils to make the perfect manicure.
If possible, I think I was more attracted to him at this moment than almost any before it. He's such a wonderful daddy! I know most guys don't pride themselves on how well they can play beauty ranch, but it was important to him that she was pleased. Which she was, she's still talking about how "pitty" they are.She was VERY careful not too touch them or mess up the paint. It was hysterical watching her hold her hands out and fingers up to let them dry. I guess some things just come to us naturally! The finished product and perfection at its finest!

Families are for fun!

My family was here last weekend and Ella really had a blast-like she always does. She found her "Hallowink" costume in her closet and fully insisted on wearing it-she has opinions all her own. It took ALL I had to convince her she couldn't sleep in it, she would be too hot(she is extremely persistent). But, she wore it for hours. Here she is in her skunk loving on Zach.
Reading with Boppa is the BEST...no one can make a book come to life quite like he can!
Ella LOVES to dress up, I guess most little girls do. She also likes to change her clothes...repeatedly. When Honey is in town she gets to do it as often as she wants,
but, sometimes being a princess is difficult and not just glitz and glamour. She was upset here because her dress was "itchy". She said, "it's not sofy at all!" Shortly after this incident we were wearing the skunk again!!
She got lots of attention, lots of new clothes and shoes, candy and fun drinks everytime they left the house and all and all just had a lot of fun! Matt's family will be here next weekend, so the fun will be continued!

Fashionista

She has a sense all her own...

The unicorn hood from our halloween costume, the fur vest from Nana and the silky princess nightgown from Honey are a few of our favorites. It's even better when we wear them all together!! This is what happens when it gets "too" quiet at our house!

Snowy Sunday

Well, we woke up yesterday morning and I thought we were in the wrong state. No offense to our weather forecasters, but usually when they call for snow we see...none. So, you can imagine our surprise when we woke up to this...
Ella really loved it and couldn't wait to get outside, last year she cried when some snow fell on her boots, this year she was in love...
It was FREEZING...daddy was sweet to share his hat!
Ella and daddy built a little snowman, too. I think she would have stayed outside all day if I would have let her. Maybe if her gloves had been waterproof I would have, but we're not really "prepared" for such things down here in Alabama.
It was a beautiful sunday and a nice little treat!!
